Glamping Tago

Digital Detox & Mental Health Week

Feel human again

Seven days in the Georgian mountains with your phone locked away. Sleep deeply, think clearly, and go home with a healthier way to use your screens.

Sound familiar?

  • You pick up your phone without deciding to, and twenty minutes are gone.
  • Your attention is spent by lunch: chats, tabs and AI tools, all at once.
  • You are tired, but your head won't switch off at night.
  • A weekend away doesn't fix it, because your phone comes with you.

It isn't a willpower problem. Your phone is built to pull at your attention, all day. What works is distance: one week where that pull is simply gone.

We feel it too.

A short message from Jonas and Nikita, who host the week.

What your days look like

Real moments from Tago.

Every evening ends at the fire
Out in the meadows together
The stove in your tent on a cold morning
Morning yoga, if you feel like it
Breakfast from the village kitchen
A book and a view, no phone
Time to breathe again
Then the cold plunge

Your week, step by step

From Monday evening to Sunday morning. Every session is an invitation, never an obligation.

  1. 1. Day 1 ยท Let go

Arrive, settle into your tent and meet the group at the opening circle on Monday evening. Phones go into the safe together.

  2. 2. Days 2-3 ยท Slow down

Morning yoga, meditation twice a day, food from the village kitchen at one shared table. The urge to check fades and your body catches up.

  3. 3. Days 4-5 ยท Open up

Daily talks and small circles on stress, attention and habits. Guided hikes through the golden autumn, sauna and cold plunge in the evening.

  4. 4. Day 6 ยท Be present

By now the group feels like old friends. A last full day in the mountains, and a long evening by the fire with guitar and songs.

  5. 5. Day 7 ยท Take it home

At the closing circle on Sunday morning you decide what comes home with you: which habits stay, and which apps go.

A day without screens.

Roughly how a mid-week day flows. The week opens with a welcome circle on Monday evening and ends with a closing circle on Sunday morning. Everything in between is offered, never pushed: join what calls you, skip what doesn't.

Part 1 ยท Mornings

Wake the body

08:30
Morning Meditation

Quiet sitting together, the first of two meditations a day. No experience needed.

09:15
Morning Yoga

Stretching and a slow flow on the platform, led by Alewyn.

10:00
Healthy Breakfast

Fresh and unhurried, cooked from local ingredients. No inbox to open first.

Part 2 ยท Late mornings

The mind

11:00 - 13:00
Talk & Group Session

The day's psychological theme, then small circles for those who want to go deeper. This is where the week does its quiet work.

13:30
Lunch

Eat together, keep talking or don't.

Part 3 ยท Afternoons

Move & rest

14:30 - 18:00
Sports, Hikes & Free Time

A hike on golden autumn trails, mountain games, a nap, a journal, the river. Some days we move together, some days you do nothing at all - boredom is part of the program.

Part 4 ยท Evenings

Warm down

18:00
Evening Meditation

A short, quiet sit as the light goes, the second of the day. Come if you feel like it.

18:30
Dinner

Our team cooks fresh and healthy every evening.

19:30 - 22:00
Sauna & Ice Bath

Sauna in a tent, ice bath under the stars. A few rounds back and forth.

20:00+

This was the highlight of our entire trip. Unfortunately, we only had time for two days, but we could have easily stayed for the whole week. Beautiful location, excellent accommodation and warm, kind-hearted and professional staff. Oh, and the food is cooked by Local Mothers, so you know it's good! The tent/yurt sauna with a wood stove and cold water basin, along with the campfire were among the highlights, perfect gathering spots for conversation and connection. And when you get up in the morning to wash your face, you're greeted by this amazing view. Good things tend to attract good people, and this camp is proof of that once again.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it truly felt like home. The place is spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The views are just breathtaking, you can sit and stare for hours. We stayed in one of the tents, and it was such a lovely experience, clean, warm, and full of charm. ๐ŸฅฐThere's a heater and a wood-burning stove inside, and the scent of the firewood adds such a cozy, comforting atmosphere. Everything smelled fresh and pleasant.๐Ÿ’ž It's not just a place to eat or stay, it's a feeling. And I have to mention Nina, the hostess, she's simply amazing. So warm, attentive, and full of positive energy.๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”

We came as a group of four for a weekend getaway at the glamping site and were absolutely thrilled! Everything, from the accommodation to the food at the restaurant, from the staff to the stunning mountain views, was perfect. This place is made for disconnecting from the city, spending time with yourself, enjoying nature, and coming back to your true self ๐Ÿฉต. There aren't many magical places like this on Earth, and Glamping Tago is definitely one of them. We'll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Glaming Tago, it's such a beautiful location with a lovely vibe. Anastasia made our stay fantastic, she is super accommodating and kind. It's a wee but out of the way to get too but so worth it, the food was lovely, the dogs were great, the yoga was a nice wee add on. They had table tennis bats but no table, only down side. But that's very minor. We loved every minute. Thank you!!

Questions? We've got you.

Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November 2026: six nights, seven days. The group arrives on the Monday and leaves on the Sunday, because the week is built as one shared arc. If you cannot take the whole week off, you can join for 4 or 5 nights.

At the opening circle on Monday evening (or when you arrive, if you join later) everyone hands in their phones, laptops, tablets and smartwatches together. Everything goes into a labelled pouch and is locked in a safe until the closing circle on the last day. If you really need a device for something that cannot wait, talk to a host and we will sort it out with you.

Our team is on site with you for the whole week and they keep their phones, so there is always a number here that can be reached, day and night. Before the week starts we send you that number: put it in your WhatsApp and Telegram status and in your email auto-reply, and tell the people who matter most. If a message comes in for you, we pass it on, and if it is urgent we come and find you straight away. Locking your phone away never means being unreachable.

Most guests are expats living in Georgia, roughly 25 to 45, and quite a few of them work in tech - people who spend their days in front of a screen and know exactly why they want a week without one. It tends to be a curious, easy-going crowd. Some come from abroad for the week too.

Many do. Sometimes a couple or a small group of friends joins, but there are always other solo travellers, and because everything happens together as a group - meals, sessions, sauna, campfire - you are never left to figure out your evenings alone.

No. The point is not to quit technology but to use it on your terms. During the week you notice what your phone does to your sleep, focus and mood, and at the closing circle you decide what comes home with you: which habits stay, and which apps go.

No. The talks and group sessions are psychoeducational and practical - about stress, burnout, sleep, attention, and habits - and the circles are spaces to reflect and share, not treatment. If you are in acute crisis or under clinical care, this week is not a substitute for that, and we're happy to talk it through before you book.

Meditation and yoga in the morning, a talk and a small group session before lunch, hikes, sport or free time in the afternoon, and a sauna and a fire every evening. The week opens with a circle on Monday evening and closes with one on Sunday morning. Everything is an invitation, never an obligation.

No. Everything is an invitation. Some guests share openly, others mostly listen and journal - both are exactly right. Whatever is shared in a circle stays in the circle.

A basic e-reader without a browser is fine, and so is a simple camera. The rule of thumb: if it has a SIM card, Wi-Fi, or apps, it goes in the box. We also keep a few digital and film cameras at the camp for anyone to borrow, and we share the week's photos with everyone afterwards.

No. Every session is designed for all levels, including complete beginners. The ice bath is always optional, and someone is always with you if you want to try it.

There is movement every day - yoga, hikes, games, optional workouts - but everything scales to your level and nothing is mandatory. If you can walk a mountain trail at your own pace, you can do this week.

Proper mountain autumn: golden forests, crisp sunny days, and cold nights that can drop close to freezing. Rain is likely at some point, and early snow is possible. Tents have heating and wood stoves, the sauna runs every evening and the campfire is always on, so the cold is part of the charm as long as you pack for it.

Warm layers (thermals, a fleece or wool jumper, a warm jacket), a hat and gloves, a waterproof rain jacket, waterproof hiking boots and warm socks, slippers or comfortable shoes for the camp, swimwear and a towel for the sauna, and a head torch. If you forget something warm, tell us before you arrive and we will help.

Then the week simply moves under a roof and closer to the fire. Circles, meditation and talks happen under cover, the tents stay warm, the sauna gets busier, and there are board games, tea and books. If snow comes, we swap the long hike for a snow walk and build a snowman. We check the forecast every day and adjust the plan, so nobody has to hike in bad weather.

We offer two types: Lotus tents (for two people) and the Half Dome dormitory (for nine people). Lotus tents are glamping tents with electricity, heating, and mountain views. The Half Dome is a shared dorm-style space with heating, a safe, and mirror. For more details, see our Glamping page.

Yes. Private means you stay alone in the tent. Shared means two people per tent - if you're coming with a friend, both of you book shared and we'll put you together. If you're solo, we match you with another solo guest of the same gender. If no match comes up by the time the week starts, you keep the tent to yourself at the shared price.

Yes. We are a small place - 12 Lotus tents - and the team lives on site, so there is always someone around. Everything during the week happens as a group, and if you'd like to share a tent we match you with another female solo guest. Bring warm layers and good shoes: the end of October in the mountains is fresh, especially at night.

Yes. Hot water, mountain views. Two blocks, each with two showers and two toilets.

All meals are included, cooked fresh every day, mostly from local ingredients - and this week the kitchen leans deliberately healthy: real food that helps you sleep, move, and feel good. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most other requirements - just tell us when you book.

Yes, in moderation. A glass of red wine with dinner is fine. The detox is from screens, not from everything, so we just ask you to keep it light. There is also very good tea, mountain herbs, and the sauna.

Yes, from 4 nights. You pick your nights and arrival day in the booking form and pay a nightly rate. The week is one arc - slow down, move, open up, be present, take it home - so the full week is the best way to do it, and it is also 10% cheaper per night.

Book right here on this page. A 30% prepayment reserves your spot and the rest is paid on arrival. Booked by 12 October, the week is 10% off; from 13 October it is the full price. The 30% early bird ended on 2 October.

Cancel at least 2 weeks before the start and you get a full refund. Within 2 weeks, we can't refund, but get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

The easiest route from abroad is a flight to Batumi. From Batumi it is about 2.5 hours by road up into the mountains. Two options: a private transfer we book for you, door to door, 265 GEL per car; or public transport - a marshrutka (minibus) from Batumi to Khulo for around 10 GEL, then our 4x4 taxi from Khulo up to Tago for 75 GEL per car, about 35 minutes. Flying into Kutaisi or Tbilisi works too: transfers from there are 465 GEL and 925 GEL per car. For detailed directions, see our How to get to Glamping Tago page.

No, transfers are arranged separately and paid on top. But you don't have to organise anything yourself: send us your flight details and we book the car for you, and where we can we match you with other guests arriving at the same time.

Give yourself this week.
