
Awakening yoga retreat
A returning teacher from Berlin brought an 18-person group for their fifth retreat together. The week was anchored by two long practices a day (90 minutes at sunrise, 60 minutes before dinner) in the wooden shala, with the afternoons left open for hiking, sauna, or just sleeping in the forest tents. The teacher had specific dietary requirements for the group — fully plant-based, gluten-free for two — which the kitchen handled across all 21 meals without flagging it. The sauna was booked every evening. The closing-circle bonfire on the last night ran past midnight. The one piece of negative feedback was about the weather in mid-May (one cold rainy day mid-week). Everything else came back at 9 or 10 out of 10. The group is already on the books for May 2025.
